At the time, one thing was clear: India had nothing like the thriving, well-curated vintage and thrift scenes of the US, UK, or Japan. There was no destination offering rare, high-quality vintage pieces the way those markets did no one telling the story behind pre-loved fashion, and no one making thrifting feel aspirational.

At the same time, a wave of new fast fashion brands was flooding the market mass-producing clothes and dumping enormous amounts of them as waste, fueling a real environmental crisis. Globally, the fashion industry was already generating over 90 million tonnes of textile waste every single year, most of it ending up in landfills or incinerated. I even thought about starting my own clothing brand at one point —but I stopped. I realized India didn't need another fast fashion label adding to that problem. It needed something else entirely.

So we decided to build it ourselves. It started small —an Instagram page, posting about fashion, clothing, and the growing belief that sustainable style could be genuinely exciting, not a compromise. That page grew into a real thrifting practice, and eventually, into Drip Drop Attire.

The journey paused for a while as college took priority. But the vision never faded and we came back full-time, full power, fully committed to building something India didn't have yet.

This is circular fashion: giving garments a second life instead of letting them become waste. It's a simple idea, but it's exactly why vintage matters more than ever and exactly why we exist.

Our mission is to curate rare vintage and thrifted fashion the right way properly sourced, properly selected, properly presented while building circular fashion and reducing textile waste at scale. We want to educate people on why pre-loved fashion deserves a place in their wardrobe, not as a compromise, but as a statement.
